Social report

Small acts change the world.

Sharing ethical and deontological values is undoubtedly one of the founding principles of our Contra Group.
These values were handed down to us by our parents and, on a daily basis, we too seek to pass them on to those who work with us and for us.
Good entrepreneurship, we believe, involves prioritising respect for people and the environment, ensuring our corporate operations are transparent, and supporting sustainability in all its conceivable dimensions.
Profit is the goal of every company but business can be carried out in an ethical way if it is pursued without ever setting aside these base values. By reinvesting part of our profit we make, we can promote activities which provide sustainable development for local communities and areas, we can support those in need or fund initiatives in keeping with our founding principles. We all have an enormous and unquestionable responsibility building a better world for future generations.
At Contra, we are committed to fulfilling this task every day. This responsibility is rooted in all our decisions, in all our projects, and implicit in all our activities. This Social Report aims to outline our existing framework and map out what we intend to carry on doing.

CSR and Sustainability

We play an active role in driving sustainable change.

We promote tangible actions for the well-being of people, local areas, and communities. Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, we have integrated sustainability into our Strategic Plan and corporate governance, committing to reduce our environmental impact and to create shared value, today and for future generations.

The well-being of people is at the core of our business.

We invest every day in the value of people, offering an inclusive, stable, and opportunity-rich workplace.
From advanced welfare programs to continuous training, and through initiatives focused on engagement, diversity, and meritocracy, we believe that the growth of the Contra Group begins first and foremost with the growth of the people who are part of it.

Workplace safety:
a priority.

For Contra Group, protecting health and safety in the workplace is not only a legal obligation, but a constant commitment to people’s well-being.
We operate through a structured system, continuous training, and regular audits.
We also ensure full compliance with privacy regulations, in line with the highest European and international standards.

Growing together, with the community and for the community.

We believe that giving back to the communities is a duty, not an option. Contra Group promotes social and economic development through culture, education, solidarity, and sport.
Together with schools, universities, and associations, we carry out tangible initiatives that create opportunities and strengthen our bond with communities — in Italy and around the world.

A daily commitment to the environment.

Sustainability guides our everyday choices. As Contra Group, we invest in tangible projects aimed at reducing environmental impact and promoting a more conscious culture. From energy saving to plastic reduction and international reforestation, we are committed to leaving a positive footprint, for the environment and for future generations.

Our initiatives

Focusing on sustainability is a crucial step for our planet, and combining green economy principles with business development is a central challenge within Contra Group’s mission.
In this perspective, Contra Group, in collaboration with zeroCO2, has chosen to take action by supporting a reforestation project in Guatemala, where agriculture represents one of the main sources of income and the deforestation rate is among the highest in the Americas, posing not only an environmental but also a social challenge.
Promoting reforestation in Guatemala means regenerating local biodiversity, absorbing CO₂, and ensuring farmers can continue to work their own land. It means investing in a long-term project that places sustainability, the land, and the people who inhabit it at its core.

We believe that those who, like us, pursue profit also have a responsibility to improve the lives of the communities they belong to, through concrete, ongoing commitment in support of associations and non-profit organizations that operate with dedication and transparency.
We are convinced that the power of change lies in small gestures, the ones that, when repeated over time, can shape a better future and fill the present with hope and trust. Because trust is more than a feeling: it is energy that spreads, inspiring others and creating new strength.

People come first

Contra’s commitment aims to generate positive change for people, broadening the vision of the future through the stories of those who, through openness and inclusion, have made their individuality a gentle response to prejudice.
People Come First is a symbolic journey through places whose spirit shines through the faces of resilience and empowerment; where uniqueness is a heritage to be preserved and elevated beyond exclusion, beyond the epidemic of violence, so that the dialogue of freedom may become an opportunity for understanding, an expression of being, and a legacy of humanity.
